Clube de Golfe de Vilamoura
The Vilamoura Golf Club was established at the time when the first Vilamoura course opened back in 1969. Although the records of the first few years are scant, it is known that its founders included prestigious individuals in Portuguese golfing circles, such as João Sobral Meireles, João António Côrte-Real, Nobre da Costa and José de Sousa e Melo.
