National Club Championship in the Under-14 and Under-18 categories was crowned the winners of the athletes from Vilamoura, in the Under-18 category.
In the Under-18 category Oporto G. C. and C.G. Vilamoura started the decisive round with the same aggregate score of 448 strokes (+10). Today they recorded the same “score” (220, +1), so it was necessary to resort to the first tiebreaker criterion (lowest sum of excluded results).
Yesterday this criterion was favourable to the northerners, by just one stroke, but at the end of today's round it was clearly favourable to the Algarve team (231 strokes, against Vilamoura's 237).
The CG. Vilamoura was thus crowned National Club Champion in the Under-18 category.
The Algarve team was made up of João Crasi Alves, João Maria Ivo de Carvalho, Francisco Reis and Martim Pinto Johansen.
Congratulations, C.G. Vilamoura!
